The colour I used was a lovely bright red with blue hues called Russian Roulette.
Now I love to have a statement finger which is almost always my ring finger, for this I put a layer of Models Own Scarlet Sparkle. Theres not much to say about this, as with almost all Models Own polishes it went on perfectly, for the amount of glitter I wanted on my nails I added a second coat however it would have looked just fine with a single one.
Last time I used this colour I did it onto the nail alone as I do with most Models Own glitters as you only ever really need 2 coats for full coverage, however with this one the red colour under it really makes it pop. It has a feeling of Dorothys shoes in the Wizard of Oz.
As my base coat I used my fave one in the world, it's Nails Inc A&E, It it amazing as I don't get stained nails when using it, even with the dreaded green polish! It's a yellowy colour as you can see from the image and you only need a really thin coat, I can't even think to tell you the amount of times I've used this polish and it's only looking about 1/3 used! I would very much recommend it!
For the top coat I used another new find, this is a Sally Hansen one. I used Sally Hansen base coats a lot when I was about 10 years old and used to love them because I could grow my nails really long however this isn't my goal anymore thanks to contact lenses. I haven't used them in years, I've been using Nails Inc ones and I wasn't impressed, despite the promise of 30 second touch dry my nails never were and they took hours to fully dry and they always seemed to chip within a matter of hours. This Sally Hansen one, which happens to be called Mega Shine, dried to touch in less then 30 seconds and then could be pressed not very that long after without the dreaded ripple effect occurring. Honestly I am sold! I will not go back to another make of top coat, and reading around on the internet I am not alone in this. My only problem is the the opaque bottle will make it hard to tell when I have run out of the stuff.
So now for the pictures:

Until next time,
